Responsibilities

Once a candidate is approved for the apprenticeship program, each apprentice, probationary apprentice and pre-apprentice shall:

  1. Perform diligently the work of the trade in a professional manner
  2. Respect the property of the contractor and customers and abide by the working rules and regulations of the contractor, the customers, the local union and the LJAC
  3. Attend and complete the required hours of Trade School in the manner established by the LJAC and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
  4. Attend all Health and Safety training courses as established by the NPECA and the IBEW Local 303
  5. Maintain hours of work and the Training Standard Book for review by the LJAC and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
  6. Develop safe working habits and conduct themselves in their work in such a manner as to assure their own safety and that of other workers
  7. Maintain their membership with the IBEW Local 303 in good standing
  8. Maintain their membership in the Ontario College of Trades
